The first biggest difference is that Amaterasu is a man, not a woman - though he was often mistaken for one in old days. He has no consort, but is Yama's best friend, and in love with him - so he's simply waiting. He was there instantly when Yama lost his lover, simply wanting to help him through the loss, and when Yama found the reincarnation.

Apollo was created from a broken Helios, getting half of the other's power - while the rest went to Sol. He wasn't born to Zeus and Leto, nor was he born with Artemis as his twin. When he started to head towards Death, Februus created Artemis to help balance him out. Everything else about his history is right, including all those lovers and children, the good and the bad. Hyacinthus was one more that he loved fiercely - an ID of their earth deity - and Thanatos was the one who collected his lover's soul. As the years went on, Apollo sought out less and less lovers, heartbroken over losing them.

Khors is amused that there has been debate over him being the moon god, but he will firmly tell anyone who asks that he is the sun. The people who look at his name as the "rays of the moon" were not truly that far off, since moonlight is reflected sunlight. He is a deity who "travels" across pantheon lines so easily to go visit his lover Tuoni.

Nana is probably the nicest of the Aztec gods, and he was originally given the task of becoming the moon god. He and another went through rites of purification, offering up blood to Tonatuih and acts of penance to the earth deity. When it came time for the sacrifice, the god who was supposed to become the sun faltered many times - so Nana jumped into the fire first and sacrificed his human body. The other gods were displeased over their chosen sun, and awarded the job to Nana, instead. However, Nana wasn't satisfied that the gods were so willing to sacrifice one of their own - so he held the sun hostage. The other gods realized that they must also make sacrifices if they wish humans to continue living, thus the sun moves, and Nana has a human form again.

No, he instead goes to visit his lover, Anubis, always using this time to be with him every single day of their lives. He's worked closely with other gods, thereby creating many "versions" of himself among the mythology.

Santa - or Nicky - as some might call him, is every version of the figure throughout myth, fairytale, and history. He is the twin of Jack Frost/Krampus, and very closely intertwined with them. The answer to how he pulls off all of his tricks: magic.

Shams is a god, rather than a goddess - he can be vicious and cruel as the desert sun, or simply apathetic to the pleas of mortals. He is highly protective and possessive of his lover, Mawt, willing to punish anyone who'd try to get between them in any sort of way. As Baal, he is less of a rain god and more of a sun deity - but his personality is a little softer towards anyone that isn't Mot. So long as they don't get any ideas.

Surya is an easy-going individual, who was there to pick Shiva up after Helios broke. Often at the other's side and helping him through the loss, dealing with the fallout of both Shiva's wife and Helios' demise. He made himself a safe place for Shiva to go when it was all too much, this eventually led to them becoming lovers. As such, Shiva remains his only lover that he's had in a very long time.

Tama is the sort of god who can be as cruel as he is kind, angry over being caught and beaten by other gods for "speeding across the sky". He cares nothing for staying within his own pantheon when it comes to lovers, finding a bed with the speedy Hermes, spicy Lucifer, and one of the earth deity's IDs. Only the people he likes get to tie him up. Tama enjoys saying that his lovers represent a season to him, with Hermes being summer, the earth deity for fall, and Lucifer for winter - "when hell freezes over". This means that the position of spring is still open.

Vito is a brilliant scientist who stunned the world with his mind and a huge project. This earned him the ability to work from home on anything he likes, whether that means robotics or chemistry. He has a mad scientist sort of vibe whenever he's working on a project - things may explode and injuries may occur. However, Vito always sets work aside whenever Kasper is home so that they can be together.

Helios is the original Greek sun deity, however, when a new world was made it coincided with a fight with his best friend, Shiva. This resulted in Helios breaking into two: Apollo for the original world, and Sol for the new world. His power went into the pair of them, while the new world destroyed his moon, Selene. Helios lives on through the two new deities, but his physical form and soul is gone.
